Bernie Saupe

Bernie has been running serious now for about 14 months, He started last year with the Butser Challenge and then went on to complete the Hell runner, Grim challenge, Tough guy, Meon valley 21 miler , Exmoor coastal marathon with a 14th overall position, Southdowns Trail marathon with a 13th position. His longest marathon he has completed is the Classic Quarter ultra marathon of 44 miles and 3rd place and the Bullock Smithy ultra marathon 56 where he finished in 4th place.

Lindley Chambers

After Lindley left the Army in 2000 he was lazy for a couple of years and then decided to get fit again and achieve a personal goal of completing the London Marathon before he was 30 which he did. He has completed several marathons including London four times, the Downlands Ultra 30 then the following year he did the Kent 50 Mile Challenge where he relished pushing himself through the pain!

Paul McLaughlin

Paul has done his first ultra the Thames Path Ultra in 2008. He considers himself a back of the pack runner and being new to ultra running his only goal is to finish the race. Time is not important to him but he is working on improving his finishing times. Since the TPU, Paul has gone on to complete the Fellsman 2008, the 100 miles Ridgeway & Pennine Challenge 2008 and will be pushing himself further by doing the Pennine Challenge again in 2009.

Andrew Smith

Andrew have been running for about 10 years now and have done several 'short' ultras like the old London to Brighton and several short off road ultras like the Downland 30 and the Compton 40. His proudest running achievement is finally finishing the Grand Union Canal race this year, after three attempts.

Owen Lindsell

Owen has been running for 6 years and his best achievement so far was to run 10k in 39.46 finishing 2nd in the c-class of the Phoenix Long O this year. His main sport is orienteering and he trains 1-4 times a week and race most weekends. He has done 1 ultra and 6 mountain marathons so far, some of the races he has completed were the 52.4 mile challenge near Canterbury and the toughest mountain marathon was the LAMM B class, which he has completed twice. When he’s not running he enjoys photography, chess and snowboarding.
